HANNAH VINCENT - CHAIR OF TRUSTEES

Hannah is the Chair of Trustees for the Select World Travel Foundation and the owner of Select World Travel, a well regarded travel agency based in Canford Cliffs. Since taking over the agency in 2020, Hannah has led the business with a focus on providing exceptional travel experiences while developing meaningful connections within the local community.

Beyond her role in the travel industry, Hannah is passionate about her charity work as well as business and community engagement. She is a member of the Executive Association Solent, having completed her year as Vice Chairman in 2023 and Chairman in 2024 on the committee.

Hannah spearheads fundraising initiatives and oversees the Foundation’s commitment to supporting local causes and charitable organisations. Her leadership is driven by a dedication to making a positive impact, and she actively collaborates with her network of donors, friends and partners to inspire them to do the same.

Her experience in both business and fundraising has made her a respected figure in the local community, where she continues to work tirelessly to strengthen connections and foster long lasting change.

GUISEPPE PINGERNA - TRUSTEE

Giuseppe is a trustee of our foundation, bringing both his professional expertise and passion for giving back to the community. As a Family solicitor and advocate in a renowned legal practice, Giuseppe has developed a reputation for providing clear, compassionate advice in complex legal matters. Though his legal career has seen him recognised in the Legal 500, his heart lies in making a positive difference in the lives of children and families.

Outside of his legal work, Giuseppe is an avid traveller who enjoys socialising with friends, playing sports, and exploring new cultures. Bilingual in English and Italian, he appreciates the power of communication and the ability to connect with people from all walks of life. His commitment to helping others extends beyond his profession, and he is proud to support initiatives that foster the well-being and future of others.

Giuseppe’s blend of professional success, community spirit, and personal interests makes him a valuable member of the charity foundation’s team, working toward a brighter future for our community.

ALICIA UNDERWOOD - TRUSTEE

Alicia is a passionate and dedicated Trustee at the Select World Travel Foundation. Alicia worked in the charitable sector for a number of years, within fundraising teams for breast cancer, children’s and adult hospice charities, focussing on events and community fundraising. She continues to use her expertise to support and uplift charitable initiatives through her work with the foundation.

Alicia’s passion for fundraising excelled when she took on her first London Marathon challenge in April 2017, raising over £2000 for Mencap. Not wishing to stop there, in October 2021 she ran the Virtual London Marathon, from home to Oakhaven Hospice, then a week later ran the Bournemouth Half Marathon, raising £3147.50 split between Oakhaven Hospice and CALM.

In 2022, Alicia took a step back from her career to become a stay-at-home Mum to her twin daughters. More recently, she has re-entered the professional world part time, including taking on the role of Travel Ambassador for Select World Travel.

RICHARD RILEY - TRUSTEE

A former paramedic, Rich dedicated his career to helping others. However, his life took a devastating turn whilst treating a patient in the back of an ambulance and was involved in a catastrophic road traffic collision. Tragically, the accident claimed the lives of his crew mate and patient, leaving Rich with life-changing injuries that would alter the course of his future forever.

Suffering multiple severe physical injuries, including a broken back and neck, as well as a traumatic brain injury, Rich faced a long and arduous road to recovery. The impact of his injuries continues to affect his daily life more than a decade later. Despite the immense challenges, he refused to let tragedy define him. Though his much loved career in the ambulance service was brought to an abrupt end, his determination to live a full and purposeful life remained unshaken.

Less than two years after the accident that nearly claimed his life, Rich achieved an extraordinary feat, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to raise funds for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, the service he credits with saving his life. His journey was not just a physical triumph but a testament to his resilience and gratitude, turning personal tragedy into an opportunity to give back.

Today, Rich continues his mission, focusing on making positive use of his time. In his role as Trustee, he brings his passion for helping others and supporting initiatives that raise crucial funds for organisations and individuals that need it most.

LEANNE GIDDINGS - FOUNDATION FUNDRAISING MANAGER

Leanne is the Foundation Fundraising Manager for the Select World Travel Foundation, where she plays a key role in driving the foundation to fulfil its mission and securing vital funding to support local charitable organisations.

Leanne’s background is predominantly working within the charity sector and is highly skilled in fundraising as well as building and nurturing partnerships. She is proud to have worked with charities such as, The Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, Air Ambulance UK and Macmillan Caring Locally. Throughout her career she has successfully led corporate, community and event based fundraising. She thrives on building meaningful relationships with donors and stakeholders to maximise impact.

Leanne has also previously worked in Travel which sparked her passion for adventure. Back in 2013, she worked for Camps International where she supported students on school expeditions in various locations such as Borneo, Cambodia, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Peru and Ecuador.

With a wealth of experience in both travel and charity, Leanne brings a unique perspective and dedication to her role at the Foundation. She is driven and passionate about connecting supporters with causes that make a real difference, ensuring that families in need receive the support, opportunities, and care they deserve.
